A full-time agent with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate in Monroe, Jim Brown is a born-and-raised Connecticut resident, and has been a master carpenter and owner/operator of Restoration by Design for more than 30 years. He is also a member of the Greater Bridgeport Board of Realtor, the Multiple Listing Service of CT, and the National Association of Realtors. Jim tailors strategies with his clients that highlight what they love best about their homes and helps others to see that value. He offers a no-cost "current market analysis" for any homeowner who might be planning on selling their home.
Along the way, Jim has led a dual career in the film industry as a trusted "key construction grip"on big-budget productions such as Boardwalk Empire, The Knick, and Blindspot, among others.
Both the film and contracting industries have provided Jim with a strong foundation and unique perspective for his career in real estate -- in all of his experiences, he is inspired by how all the elements of a project come together to create a compelling story. For Jim, one of the most rewarding parts of being an agent is helping people find the place where their stories begin-- a house that becomes a home.
Jim is dedicated to providing superior service to every client and specializes in representing sellers, buyers, investors, developers, builders, and flippers in both residential & commercial real estate.
A trumbull local and family man, Jim lives in the historic 1778 home that he and his wife Maurya lovingly restored to its original grandeur. They have three grown children: Spencer, Tess, and Jenna. During rare downtime, Jim enjoys tending to his bees, a good read, and tries not to ruin a good walk while playing golf.
