In the past few years, Nick Jones has become an esteemed realtor, highly regarded by his clients
and professionals in the field. As a Connecticut native, and an emerging real estate professional,
Nick acknowledges and values the importance of trust in the agent-client relationship. Built on
the foundation of hard work, determination, and communication, he is committed to
understanding the needs of his client’s and leverages his skills as an effective negotiator to
ensure transactions are handled ethically and efficiently. Nick specializes in several aspects of
the real estate professional. Whether it involves navigating the waters for first time home buyers,
assisting sellers in understanding the strengths and weaknesses of multiple offer scenarios, or
helping growing families find their forever, clients can feel comfortable in knowing that their
needs will always be the priority. As an emerging professional, Nick understands that today’s
consumer relies heavily on technology and information in both the purchase and sale of a home,
and is able to leverage his own skills effectively to meet the demands of this evolving real estate
market.
Nick has spent the bulk of his career working with builders, developers, design teams, energy
efficiency programs, trade ally associations, and various state and federal organizations to
advance high performance building standards throughout the state of Connecticut. He has
published papers on topics relating to zero energy homes and Passive House™ building
standards, and has presented at esteemed national conferences including the American Council
for an Energy Efficiency Economy (ACEEE) Summer Study, as well as, the Northeast
Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA)’s Building Energy conference. For the last five years,
Nick has served as a judge for the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Housing Innovation
Awards, and currently holds a designation as a NAR GREEN REALTOR.
In addition to holding a license as a real estate salesperson, Nick holds credentials as a Certified
Energy Manager (CEM), LEED-Green Associate (LEED-GA), and GPRO Operations &
Maintenance (O&M) professional. He has served on the board of directors for the Connecticut
Green Building Council (CTGBC) and the Connecticut Passive House Alliance. He currently
serves on the board of directors for the Northeast Home Energy Rating Systems (NE-HERS)
Alliance, and is a member of the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) Emerging
Leadership Council. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Eastern Connecticut State
University in Sustainable Energy Studies and a Master of Science (MS) Degree in Global
Sustainability from Central Connecticut State University.
